Job losses moderated in the private service-providing industries, with employment falling by 113,000 in May compared with an average monthly declineof 356,000 in the prior 6 months. Elsewhere in the service-providing the health care industryadded 24,000 jobs in May. This was abou in line with the trend thus farin 2009.
